Dues schedule and printable dues invoice

Government labs and centers enjoy the same benefits as private labs/centers. CRA engages in very little lobbying (about 1 percent of expenditures). Several labs have been able to join by reducing membership payments by an amount that is proportional to CRA's lobbying expenditures. Contact members@cra.org for more information.

In addition to the many programs your dues support, CRA offers a mix of benefits and programs aimed at our lab and center members:

Labs/Centers salary survey. Each fall, CRA collects salary data for researchers at industrial and government laboratories and research centers. The survey includes data about salaries for new employees and those at five-year intervals of experience. Complete results are made available in January to the participants-- free to CRA members, $1,500 for non-members.
Lab profiles. Computing Research News publishes an ongoing series of articles, each one of which profiles one of CRA’s industrial or government lab members. These articles are also posted on the CRA website at www.cra.org/reports/labs/. The articles highlight the programs, people, and accomplishments of the labs.
Snowbird meeting. The CRA Conferences at Snowbird, Utah, have been held every other summer since 1972 for department chairs, laboratory directors, and other leaders from the computing research community in North America. For the past decade, there has been a track of plenary and breakout sessions directed at the interests of industrial-based researchers.
An $900 credit toward text or display ads in Computing Research News. These ads will also be posted on our jobs website and distributed to our jobs listserv.
Receive the final results of CRA's Taulbee Survey in mid-February (results are made public to non-participants/-members in May).
Free listings of CRA members and the CRA Forsythe List, upon request, in electronic form, on laser mailing labels, or in a hard copy (for approved purposes).
One first-class subscription to CRA’s newsletter, Computing Research News, for the organization representative, and free regular subscriptions for key researchers and staff.
The right to vote in CRA Board elections.
