CRA Forsythe List A searchable database of Ph.D.-granting departments in disciplines related to computing in the United States and Canada. For a list of all departments in the database, leave the search fields blank.   Institution: State or Province: Country: United States Canada Head or Chair: Search Using: AND OR   CRA members may request copy of the mailing addresses on the list as a member benefit. E-mail addresses will not be provided. Organizations that are not members of CRA may purchase the list (electronic list or labels) for one use for $100. In this case, the organizations themselves handle the mailing. The list should not be used for recruiting purposes. This policy was established based upon comments the CRA Board received from the community, and we ask that you honor this policy. The Forsythe list is still available to you for announcing new programs, special appointments, and other kinds of news. If you are interested in advertising a position opening, CRA offers a jobs announcement service. CRA uses the Forsythe list sparingly for contacting our members about specific CRA activities we know will be of interest to them. We are careful to avoid overwhelming their mailboxes. We do not advertise the activities of other groups, including CRA members or affiliates. If you would like to request a copy of the Forsythe List, please e-mail members@cra.org and mention what you intend to use it for. Tips for using this database You can enter fragments of the name of the institution you are looking for. (e.g.,for the State University of New York, Albany, simply enter Albany) The contact information on these pages directs you to Heads/Chairs of Departments and Administrative Assistants. Often, they are not the people to contact regarding admissions—use the links to institutional/departmental web servers to obtain this information. The Forsythe List is named for the late Dr. George Forsythe, a professor of computer science at Stanford University and one of the founders of computer science graduate education.
