Lab and Center Membership Dues
The membership year for labs and centers is set by the date of each organization's first payment of dues. Thereafter, this serves as the anniversary date for renewal.
Annual Sponsoring, Sustaining, and Supporting lab and center memberships are available for firms whose leadership is critically dependent on computing research. Members in these three categories receive special acknowledgement in CRA publications as well as sponsorship benefits at CRA’s biennial Conference at Snowbird.
The suggested dues rates for labs that do not wish to join at these higher levels are:
This is the total external amount spent on research and includes
direct costs and overhead. Education-oriented funds such as doctoral fellowships
and equipment for universities are excluded. Expenditures and indirect costs
from government and lab and center research grants are included. Do not include
expenditures for external research. Calculate your research expenditure by using
whatever method is accepted by your organization. Use the most recent 12-month
period for which data are readily available or can be estimated.
Organizations may choose to support the association in other ways beyond paying dues. Companies may make unrestricted donations or support specific project. Contact CRA for more information.
