Ok. So week two was not all that bad. The rest of the
REU students arrived to Laurel Hall early Monday morning while Michelle,
Jasmine and myself were carrying on a normal day of work at the
game lab. We had to hurry and finish up the rendering cube project
then write its technical paper. It took us a while to figure out
the last strings before completing the project. What would we do
without Evie!! We finally got it working! THANK YOU EVIE! Click

to view it.
Tuesday, we met the REU students for the first time. We all went
out to lunch and got to know eachother. Now the dorms are not so
quiet and lonely anymore! Wohooooo! They were devided into groupes
to work in different labs and carry on different tasks. We talked
some about what they will be doing this summer and it all sounded
very interesting.
We were supposed to have the quiz on Monday only that we didnt
get to it until Wedensday. More work and preparation for Thursday's
presentation and Literature review was taking place that day! We
all treated ourselves by going to the mall after work. Shopping
is a girl's best friend! So I was happy :)
Thursday came around and we were rushing to be under the SAC tower
on campus at 9 a.m for an Ice Breaker activity, and should i add..
THAT WAS FUN! Ice breakers are activities that get students to know
each other and melt the ice ..lol! We learnt each other's name in
no time while having tons of fun. By 11:30 a.m. we went to shower
and have lunch and were back at the labs with good attitudes to
sew the last threads on out weekly presentation and lit preview
at 4:00. ((Click here
to view my presentation)). Later that day we went home and relaxed
a bit then met the others to play some football and vollyball after
11 p.m. Fun fun fun!
Its Friday and OH do I like Fridays! Looking forward to attending
a little party Dr. Barnes is arranging at her place later on this
evening. All REU students will be there so that should be interesting!
I will go ahead and finish up some more work for this week so I
can start TOTALLY fresh on Monday. Got more documentations to write
and some webpage editing to do :)
Don't forget to come back for more! I'll
have more news for you next week!
