Faculty
- Total Faculty (Fall 1992): Total number of faculty participating in the program.
- Percentage Faculty who are Full Professors (Fall 1992): Percentage of total program faculty who are
full professors.
- Percentage Faculty with Research Support (1986-92): Percentage of total program faculty with
research support in the period 1986 to 1992.
- Percentage Faculty who Published (1988-92): Percentage of total program faculty publishing in the
period 1988 to 1992.
- Ratio of Publications to Faculty (1988-92): The ratio of the total number of program publications in the
period 1988 to 1992 to total program faculty.
- Gini Coefficient for Publications (1988-92): Gini coefficient for program publications, 1988-1992.
The Gini coefficient is an indicator of the concentration of publications on a small number of the
program faculty during the period 1988 to 1992. The largest possible value, or maximum concentration,
is 100 (only one individual in the program registered a positive count); the smallest value, or minimum
concentration, is 100/total faculty (all the faculty in the program contribute equally).
- Ratio of Citations to Faculty (1988-92): The ratio of the total number of program citations in the
period 1988 to 1992 to total program faculty.
- Gini Coefficient for Citations (1988-92): Gini coefficient for program citations, 1988-1992. The Gini
coefficient is an indicator of the concentration of citations on a small number of the program faculty
during the period 1988 to 1992. The largest possible value, or maximum concentration, is 100 (only one
individual in the program registered a positive count); the smallest value, or minimum concentration, is
100/total faculty (all the faculty in the program contribute equally).
