NSF division director named
Richard B. Kieburtz has taken office as director for the National Science Foundation's Division of Computer and Computation Research within the Directorate for Computer and Information Science and Engineering. Kieburtz earned B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Washington. He has taught at New York University, the State University of New York at Stony Brook and most recently at the Oregon Graduate Institute of Science and Engineering. His expertise is in functional programming languages, program transformations, and automatic program generation and the application of formal methods in software engineering. |
