Dean joins CRA Board
Thomas L. Dean, professor of computer science at Brown University, has been appointed by the American Association for Artificial Intelligence (AAAI) as their CRA Board representative. Dean is replacing Patrick Hayes, professor and visiting scholar at the Beckman Institute. Dean earned a Ph.D. in computer science from Yale University. His research interests are automated planning and scheduling, robotics and machine learning. Dean received the National Science Foundation Presidential Young Investigator Award in 1989, was elected to the Executive Council of AAAI in 1993 and elected as a Fellow of AAAI in 1994. |
