What is the appropriate level for specialization in software engineering?
I’m a recent convert -- my answer used to be at the MS level. A number of experiences in the last year have changed my mind.
Let’s face reality -- when many of our under-graduates get their degrees, they take jobs where they function as “software engineers” not “computer scientists.”
