How should/will the accreditation of software engineering degree programs be carried out?

For the US, this is essentially a moot question

• Engineering accreditation basically “belongs” to ABET
• A merger between CSAB and ABET is in progress
• ABET will accredit software engineering programs, with CSAB serving as the “society” responsible for training visitors and other discipline-specific tasks. (CSAB’s compter science accrediation will be handled by a parallel process.)
