CRA-W

Welcome!

This site was created for the 2008 Computing Research Association-Women Distributed Mentor Project (CRA-W DMP). Kelly Chang's CRA-W DMP experience ran through the summer of 2008 from June 23rd to August 29th. It was a unique ten weeks, and she was glad that the members of CRA-W gave her the opportunity to participate.

The image above is a photo of some of the sensor motes Kelly was able to work with during the summer. The blue motes are the T-mote sky motes, and the green motes are the Mica2 motes. The T-mote sky motes are able to sense temperature, humidity and two types of light: photosynth-active radiation and total solar radiation. The Mica2 motes are more versatile than the T-mote sky; they have a wide range of sensors from light to barometric pressure to GPS.
