It seems as
though all of my weeks have been crazy. I've feel a though I've
been going nonstop, just in all different directions.
This week I
was working on writing a description of the layout/clustering
methods and such. The optimal format is Latex, which is a format
not unlike html. It has tags, commands and such. Latex is perfect
for scientific and mathematical articles, because it formats equations,
charts and graphs perfectly. All of the mathematical equations
that you see on websites are more often than not pictures. Check
it out...they're mostly jpgs. It produces thoroughly professional-looking
documents, and you can export them to a pdf or a ps.
So I spent
a couple of hours learning the basics of Latex so that I could
start writing. The manual's a fun read, actually. I wrote the
description, which I might have to cut down because it seems a
little long for just part of an article.
I also spent
some time brainstorming about the different-dimensional space,
different types of dimensions problem. I'm a little embarrassed
to put them up on this website, since I think that they all aren't
very good. Suffice it to say that my solutions tend to skew the
data.
I'm going to
jump into the next section, since it is pertinent.
In Other News:
Being my fabulously clumsy self, I was getting off of my (lofted)
bed when I lost my balance. Yes, I dove face-first onto the floor.
That doesn't sound too bad, right? Well, the only problem was
that my chair was in the way, and let me tell you, you do not
want that to break your fall. Then, I don't know how, but I got
a cold in the summertime. So I have this enormous bruise, that
doesn't look like a bruise, on my leg which resulted in my having
to go get x-rays taken and the consumption of tremendous doses
of advil. I'm feeling better, so I hope that I'll be able to walk
to the ITE building on Monday.
I have an amazing
capability for calamity.
