Kevin C. Almeroth, CRA's second Digital
Government Fellow, gave a lecture on advanced networking and Internet2 (www.internet2.edu)
at the Government Technology Conference in Sacramento, CA. An article
summarizing his presentation is available, as are the accompanying slides
(PDF).
Dr. Almeroth earned his Ph.D. in Computer
Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1997. He is currently an
associate professor at the University of California in Santa Barbara where his
main research interests include computer networks and protocols, multicast
communication, large-scale multimedia systems, and performance evaluation.
