This week has been a week of preparation. With my camping trip and journey to Vancouver drawing so near, things have been a little crazy. We've also been trying to wrap up old things to move onto new things. We've also been rushing about to check and double check to make sure my hotel and plane tickets are booked. Printing off registration verification and electronic receipts and tickets. Looking up carry-on bag restrictions. All of it has been quite thrilling. Well.. perhaps some parts more than others...

So if you recall, I spent the end of last week collecting data and so I spent this week analyzing and writing a report of it all for Renee. It's easy enough to say "here. this is what we're getting". It's entirely another to say where what you're looking at comes from. The data had a story to tell and I had to figure out what it was trying to tell us. It turned out to be more of a challenging task than I had anticipated. It is difficult to remind yourself that your audience hasn't been pouring over your work for the past two weeks so those little things you take for granted need to be explained. Your terminology, or framework, or even mindset are completely different from theirs and so you mustn't loose sight of that and babble on, needlessly.

I anticipate this is going to be extremely similar to writing my final report, except a trillion times more difficult when I realize that Renest of the world probably doesn't... Oy vey! I best start panicking about that now.. But I best be off! I Fly for Vancouver next week! Wish me luck and tune in to hear about the excitement.
