1999 Federated Computing Research Conference:
Atlanta, Georgia
April 30 - May 6, 1999
The third Federated Computing Research Conference (FCRC) was held in Atlanta
at the downtown Hilton, April 30 - May 6, 1999. FCRC is a collocation of meetings and conference of research-oriented organizations.
CRA was a co-sponsor, along with ACM (the primary organizer), IEEE, and other organizations. The conference chair was CRA Board and ACM Council member David S. Johnson of AT&T Labs - Research. Past chair Mary Jane Irwin, CRA Board member from Pennsylvania State University, was on the steering committee, along with David Wise of Indiana University, and Donna Baglio of ACM.

Participating conferences and workshops were:
The 1999 conference was the third FCRC. The first took place in San Diego in 1993 and the second was in Philadelphia in 1996. The concept and original impetus for the FCRC's came from CRA.
