CRA Award for Outstanding Undergraduates

This annual awards program recognizes undergraduate students who show outstanding research potential in an area of importance to computing research. Students are nominated by their department chair.

A cash prize of $1,000 is awarded to two undergraduate students, one female and one male, who are majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent program. In addition, a number of other outstanding candidates, equally distributed among men and women, will receive certificates of honorable mention. The awards are presented at a major computing research conference. The two first prize winners receive funds to assist in their travel to the conference. We hope that the home departments provide similar assistance to the other winners.

The deadline for the year 2000 Outstanding Undergraduate Awards is October 25, 1999. Nomination details will be provided here, August 1999.

We are delighted to acknowledge the support of the Microsoft Corporation and Mitsubishi Electric Research Lab as the sponsors for this program.
