Outstanding Undergraduate Runner Up 2000

Jonathan Cohen is majoring in Mathematics and Computer Science at Brown University.

He joined the Brown University Graphics Laboratory during his freshman year where his research has focused on the "sketching" of 3D drawings. His work includes the development of an interface for rapid 2D sketching of arbitrarily complex 3D scenes, a system for dynamic surface representation, and algorithms for drawing 3D curves.

Jonathan also worked, as a summer intern at Microsoft, on tools for cutting out selected objects or regions from images. He is a co-author of two papers. Jonathan has been a teaching assistant and a high school math tutor.
