February 12 Deadline for CRA Service Award
Nominations
The Computing Research Association invites
nominations for the CRA Distinguished Service Award and the A. Nico Habermann
Award for the year 2003.
Distinguished Service Award
CRA makes an award, usually annually, to a person who has made an
outstanding service contribution to the computing research community. This
award recognizes service in the areas of government affairs, professional
societies, publications or conferences, and leadership that has a major impact
on computing research. (Previous
winners and more information).
A. Nico Habermann Award
CRA makes an award, usually annually, to a person who has made an
outstanding contribution to aiding members of underrepresented groups within
the computing research community. This award recognizes work in areas of
government affairs, educational programs, professional societies, public
awareness, and leadership that has a major impact on advancing these groups in
the computing research community. (Previous

Nomination Procedure:
The deadline for receipt of nominations is February 12, 2003.
Nominations should not exceed two pages in length and should describe the
contributions on which the nomination is based. Letters in support of the
nomination are welcome but not required. Questions or comments may be
addressed to awards@cra.org.
